JUNIORS POST SEASON RUN ENDS IN WORLD SERIES US CHAMPIONSHIP

Our Juniors amazing All Star season ended today with a 5-2 loss to Texas in the Junior League World Series US Championship. The loss ends a run that included winning 4 tournaments amid a stretch of 18 straight victories, and going undefeated in the Section, So Cal State and Western Region tournaments.

All six Hermosa Beach members of the team--Matthew Fields, Ben Gneiser, Namath Hogan, Max Jonas, Robert Love and Charlie Webb--made valuable contributions all over the field and were instrumental in winning many of the games.  But most importantly, all the boys represented HBLL the right way with great sportsmanship and respect for the game, their teammates and their opponents. Their families who shared this journey have so much to be proud of!
HBLL is so thankful to the three coaches that guided the team along the way:  Tony Caswick, Dave Williams and Ty Conrad. These three gentleman sacrificied their own personal time with their families and/or their jobs, to work with these kids. This amazing run would certainly not have been possible without all of their efforts over the last six weeks. And thank you to all the HBLL families and fans who supported this team either at home watching the live streams, commenting on our Facebook page or cheering on the team at our viewing parties. And of course, thank you to Seth Weiss, and Underground Pub & Grill for allowing us to gather as a community and watch these kids play!
