2022 JUNIORS ALL-STAR SELECTION PROCESS

MANAGER VOTE

• Each Juniors Manager selects 6 players from their own roster as their best players and ranks them from 1 to 6.
• Coach submits the lists to the Juniors Commissioner and the information is shared with the Director of Baseball.
• Coaches will be encouraged to vote for players based on their performance in the current season only, and to also
• consider attributes such as leadership, sportsmanship, and respect for the game.

PLAYER VOTE

• Every Juniors player will be provided a paper ballot and asked to select 8 players who are not on their own team as
  the players who are deserving to be on the All-Star team.
• The Juniors Commissioner will collect those secret ballots and provide the information to the Director of Baseball.  If a player is not able to be provided a ballot due to absence, he/she may forgo their right to vote for All Stars.  The Juniors Commissioner will make an effort to contact the player but cannot guarantee they will get a chance to vote if they are not present when ballots are distributed.
• Players will be encouraged to vote for players based on their performance in the current season only, and to also
  consider attributes such as leadership, sportsmanship, and respect for the game.
  

TEAM FORMATION

• The top two players from each Juniors Manager submission will be automatically placed on the team. In 2022, this
  will result in 6 players (3 Juniors teams)
• The Player Vote ballots will be tallied, and players will be ranked based on number of votes received.
• The 6 players chosen in the Manager Vote will be removed from this list created from the Player Vote tally as they are
  already part of the roster.
• Once those 6 players are removed from the list, the top 4 players on the Player Vote list will be automatically make the team.
• Between the Manager Vote and the Player Vote, 10 players will be selected by a voting mechanism.
• The All-Star Manager will then select the remaining players on the roster from those receiving a Manager Vote or at 
  least one Player Vote.
• The All-Star Manager determines the final roster size of the team based on current All Star rules.

ALL-STAR TEAM ROSTER APPROVAL

Once all the ballots are counted, the All-Star coach has been selected and finalized the roster, the HBLL Executive Board of
Directors will review all rosters and vote on their approval. While the intent of the All-Star player selection process is to rely
primarily on Coaches and Players to create the team, the Executive Board does reserve the right to add (or remove) one or
more players to the team at their discretion.

ALL-STAR TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS

Coaches and All-Star rosters will be announced after June 1 at Closing Day Ceremonies.
