HBLL 2025 ALL-STARS
Hermosa Beach Little League (HBLL) has selected players for its 2025 All-Star teams. This year, we will be fielding four teams – 10U (AAA players), 11U (AAA/Majors players), 12U (Majors players), Intermediate - 50/70 (13U Juniors players). We will not be fielding a Junior League (14U Juniors players) or Senior League (15-16 year olds) due to the lack of eligible players for both divisions
Each roster will consist of 12 players.
All-Star team candidates will be selected based upon their playing eligibility, ability, and availability.
Participation Cost (if selected to an All-Star team):
HBLL will cover much of the costs for the All-Star tournament including registration fees and jerseys. Some of the financial burden will fall on those that participate. The cost will be $100. This fee includes:
· Hat, Practice shirt, Sweatshirt, Belt, Socks
· Please note the fee doesn’t include baseball pants
· Game jerseys can be kept for an additional $50
Attendance Requirements:
HBLL All-Star teams prepare for and play in the competitive District 36 All-Star tournament, involving All-Star teams from the eight Little Leagues in Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and the Palos Verdes peninsula. The level of play in All-Stars is very high and our teams must work hard to maximize their talents to play competitive baseball.
Teams will practice up to two hours daily, up to seven days a week. It is expected that a player selected to All-Stars makes that team his or her priority during that time. Practices will begin as early as the week of Monday, May 19th. Schedule conflicts between June 14th and July 8th would potentially make you ineligible to participate in the 2025 All Star Tournament. The manager of each team, subject to HBLL Exec Board approval, has the right to remove a player from the team for lack of attendance.

Eligibility Requirements:
1. All players chosen for All-Stars must provide proof-of-age documentation which meets Little League International requirements. An ORIGINAL birth certificate is the easiest such document. Players without an ORIGINAL birth certificate cannot be considered for All-Stars. The birth certificate must originate from the Department of Vital Statistics from the birth state. Photocopies of certificates issued by a hospital are not acceptable.
2. Players will also be required to certify residency within the HBLL boundary. Parents of all children participating in All-Stars are required by Little League International to provide three documents as proof of residency within the boundaries of Hermosa Beach Little League. In lieu of residing within the HBLL boundary, players can be eligible by attending a Hermosa Beach School on a full-time basis (contact HBLL President Dave Shott). Little League International has modified its residency and school attendance eligibility requirements this year. More information on these requirements can be found on the Little League website. Players must have participated in 60% of their team’s regular season games.
Tournament Rules:
All-Star tournament rules differ from regular season rules. All players will bat, but no defensive play is required. Playing time is not equal and your child may not play the same position(s) he/she played during the regular season. Please discuss these possibilities with your child before you decide to submit his name for consideration to ensure that you and your child do not experience disappointment over playing time and/or position.
